Some of the things I read on yr website reminded me of how my baby behaved when she reacted to her vax. I found your story from another blog I read. I am sadden for your loss and the fight Ian had to endure. My heart breaks for your family. We also lost a baby girl. She was about 3 1/2 months old. I read your story and it is very heartbreaking. I have just lost my precious Alissa on Feb 14th, 2009. She was only 5 months. Your story in very interesting. The doctors at our childrens hospital said that they have never seen anything like Alissa. We never really have found what was truly wrong. Since she was born she had been on a vent. She had one chance of breathing with a c-pap, and it only lasted for 36 hours. It is truly amazing how hard their little bodies fight. My prayers are with you. |

Dear Deanna and Scott ~ Reading about your son Ian's story breaks my heart but also gives me hope that the vaccines laws will change because of outspoken and dedicated parents such as yourselves. Nothing happens by accident and Ian may be saving many little babies' lives in the future. I just gave birth to my first child, son Denzin in December, and when I was asked about the Hep B vaccine I signed NOT to vaccinate him upon birth. It makes no sense to inject poison into a perfectly healthy little body at such a critical stage of its development. Denzin is almost 3 months old now and hasn't gotten any shots. I am planning to buy Dr. Sears' book and a couple others to educate myself as you recommend. No way I am going to follow blindly the advice of the conventional doctors. I am so sorry for the suffering Ian experienced in his short life and for your tragic loss. My son died 12 hours after his first DPT vaccine, also horrible, but not so long and drawn out as your little boy's. You said "We have seen an explosion in vaccine administration, from 12 in our generation to 36 given today." Deanna, I can't stop crying reading about Ian. This totally breaks my heart I can't even put it into words. My daughter was born on 5/3/07 and we were totally against the HEP B vaccine and did not even sign for it. I went to get her from the nursery and the nurse told me she was fed,changed,bathed,and got her shot! I screamed what shot and she said Hep B I lost my mind I was hysterical and my husband was out of his mind angry and screamed at anyone in his path. They said it was a mistake with the night nurse. I was in a severe depression after just staring at my baby crying and praying that she was going to be OK and thank God she was and is. She has not had one vaccine since and I have to say she is the healthiest baby I know. She will be 2 in May and knock on wood has not even had the sniffles! I am expecting another baby in June and I am a nervous wreck. We had every head of every department call us after their "mistake" swearing that things are done differently now but I can't help but be nervous and seeing Ian's story I am a mess. I know your little angel is up in Heaven looking over you and your husband and son. We did not know anything about alternitive scheduals when our daughter was born . Luckily the reactions she had only landed her in the ER. Thank you for telling Ian's story. I was not surprised to hear that the medical staff was unwilling to admit that it might have been the vaccine to do so would have been to admit their own guilt in not administering the vaccine properly. We also lost our son shortly after birth (2 1/2 days old). We too encountered staff that falsified charts and did not follow their own hospital protocols. It took us two years to find out exactly what they had done and to top it all off were hit with a bill from the hospital that "murdered" our son 2 days after the statute of limitations for us to sue for wrongful death expired. The problem is that the american health care system is now all about profit even at the not for profit hospitals. |

Deanna & Scott, your story could not have reached me at a better time… I am so sorry for the pain your family has had to endure. Your courage & determination are an inspiration. You are very special parents to honor Ian by sharing his story with others. A friend of mine emailed me the other day about the Hep B vaccination. She has triplets & I have twins who were all affected by their 1st year immunizations. They are all ready for preschool & are required by the state of CA to have the Hep B shot before they start. We had educated ourselves about other vaccinations but did not know enough about this particular shot. We are now at the point where we will have to answer to the school system (our children have not received immunizations since their 1st birthday’s) & find a way to fight to protect them. The restored health of these 5 children has been a long & scary road. We blamed ourselves initially because neither one of us wanted to give shots to our kids but did so against our better judgment (I was bullied into it by my Dr’s office) and watched the kids pay the price. We turned this grief & frustration into an educational and inspirational blog about immunization and toxin dangers, as well as a host of other issues. My husband is a Firefighter/Paramedic as well & thought the kids should have the Hep B shot b/c of what he sees out in the field. Your story changed his mind. I am so sorry for your loss! I had my first daughter vaccinated blindly until age 1 when we had opted to not have the chicken pox vaccine given to her and the doctor refused our wishes and gave it to her w/o our consent and informed us afterwards. This is even after a reaction to vaccine at 2 months (we still don't know which one) where the doctors refused to acknowledge it's link to the vaccine despite it meeting every description on the sheet from the CDC (uncontrollable crying, high fever almost 104 degrees, rash). It is since then we have decided to delay our subsequent children's vaccinations and give them selectively once they are older. I found the book "What your Doctor May Not Tell You about Children's Vaccinations" by Dr Stephanie Cave a great read and very informative about all the risks and benefits to each vaccine, as well as all the possible side effects and reactions that can happen. Thank you for sharing that heart breaking story. I am so sorry your little son had to go through so much pain in his short life. Hopefully you'll reach a lot of people and make a difference. This vaccine is so unnecessary and it is a shame that they sell it to new parents who have no clue what damages it can do. It serves no purpose since the immunity is at most for 5 years. What newborn needs protection against a disease that is mostly seen in drug/needle users and prostitutes? It is criminal that they even suggest injecting newborns with this. Who is responsible for that? Someone must be held accountable. |

Reading about and looking at photos of your beautiful baby Ian brought me to tears. I have an autistic son, and thank god every day even though he has as disablity, he is still with us. I strongly advise EVERY one of my friends with babies NOT to get the hep B shot in the hospital. Your son is an angel speaking for all the babies that do not need this senseless shot. Thank you Deanna for sharing Ian's story and life with us. What a blessing he was in his short time here with you and Scott. As the mother of twins who both had adverse vaccine reactions and were later diagnosed with autism and Aspergers Syndrome, I think we in America have gone way overboard on vaccines. Parents are under the false impression that every aspect of vaccines have been "stuided," and they are safe. The individual vaccine package inserts give the full picture on the vast areas that have not been studied. Unfortunately, parents are not provided with these inserts prior to their babies being vaccinated. Mostly, they just give parents a list of possible side effects. This is totally unacceptable and I thank you in your efforts to promote informed consent regarding vaccines. Keep fighting the good fight in Ian's name and hopefully all our voice's will make a big difference. If not in our medical policies and the CDC schedule, with the loving, trusting parents throughout America who need to hear the whole truth about vaccines and the real risks that at this point, are clearly not outweighing the benefits. My heart is aching for you. I can only imagine your pain. My beautiful 13 year old son Ryan was developing normally until he received three shots containing seven viruses at his 15 month old checkup. My heart, prayer's and blessing's go out to Ian and your family. I find myself failing to find words that express how much Ian's story has touched my soul. I send you my extreme condolences on your lose. While telling Ian's story you expressed what a fighter he was. It is obvious to me that Ian was such a strong little boy and fought so hard because of you and your husband. The strength and fight it took for you and your husband to love, advocate and not give up on Ian, shows where Ian received such a fighting spirit from. Thank you for having the determination and ability to share such a personal story. It has only been in the last several months that I have joined a group that is advocating for information and choice in vaccinating your child. I have a daughter, MacKenzie, who had a stroke during birth. MacKenzie was 5 weeks early and was born unable to breathe on her own. She was intabated and spent, what seemed like forever, in the NICU. MacKenzie has extensive brain damage and much like Ian has gone through more medical, emotional and behavioral experiences than most people face in a lifetime. I am extremely blessed because I still have MacKenzie physically with me. She is also strong, determined, independent, funny and functions as if she does not have a care in the world. I know God blessed me with MacKenzie. I have learned so much through her eyes. In the past several months MacKenzie has been diagnosed with Partial Complex Seizures, ADHD and High Functioning Autism. We have watched our beautiful, fun loving and free spirit child lose all these qualities. We are facing a new diagnosis and issue every week. Unfortunately, we never questioned the vaccines, medicines, tests and barage of therapy's Doctor's suggested for MacKenzie. Now we feel that we are back in the NICU watching our daughter fight for her health. The group I joined and the research I am collecting is overwhelming but it is knowledge that makes me MacKenzie's strongest advocate. In learning I have been lucky enough to read other parents and their children's experiences. Ian's story has helped me in my journey to gather information which helps me become a better advocate for MacKenzie. Thank you again for sharing Ian's life story with me. please know that Ian will be helping a little girl named MacKenzie along with so many other children. I am so heartbroken for what you and your precious baby went through, and what you as parents still go through. I have become a solid advocate against the Hep. B shot, and several people I know, who are having babies soon, will NOT be getting this pointless and deadly vaccine- they have come to me for advice on shots and I have been lucky enough to help enlighten them on the real dangers of vaccines. I hope you can find healing in knowing that beautiful Ian's death will not be in vain- I FIRMLY believe that your story will resonate throughout the states and the world and even though Ian should be with you both today, please take heart in knowing that other babies will NOT die because your story reached their parents before they were vaccinated. Thank you for sharing this heartbreaking story and for making people aware of the need to Educate before they vaccinate, if this isn't eye-opening I don't know what is. Ian was such a beautiful and strong baby. I can only imagine your pain. I never thought twice about vaccinating my son, he was born a healthy 8lbs1oz but had a soft cleft palate that made it difficult for him to get suction to eat, which compromised his immune system and we are now dealing with an Autism diagnosis and vaccine injury. I spent hours deciding whether or not to circumcize if it was a boy, but never thought twice about vaccines. I now know first hand that every parent should do their research, because I didn't I am spending all of my time researching treatments and trying to reverse the damage that has been done, praying that this is not a life sentence for our son. I would wait until after 2 to give ANY vaccines, give them 1 at a time, 6 months apart and only to a child that tested as having a strong immune system, prior to any and all vaccinations. The chances of your child developing what they are being vaccinated against are slimmer than the chance of them being vaccine injured. Think ADD/ADHD/Autism/Behavioral Issues/Asthma/Allergies/Digestive and Metabolic Issues/Eczema - the list goes on. As the vaccine schedule increases so does the list of issues that todays kids are dealing with. |

I am truly moved by Ian's story. i did not realize that this vaccine was not needed and could have this effect. When my son was born, I agreed to all the vaccines because I thought they were safe. Gabe had his 2 year doctor apt. yesterday and I was told that they will not split the MMR shot into single doses???? I was amazed and now I'm looking for another option on how to handle this.
